Terms & Conditions
1. Who we are
AgEmployment is an online jobs board where employers post roles and candidates post CVs — full-time and seasonal work, contract roles and placements across crop, livestock, machinery, horticulture, food processing, agronomy and agricultural technology. The site is operated as part of the All Farmers, One Platform network; the operator can be reached at [email protected] or through the contact page.
2. Your account
Browsing is open to everyone. Posting an advert, or answering one, needs an account. You must give a valid email address, keep your password confidential and accept responsibility for everything done under your account; tell us promptly if you think the password has been compromised. One person may hold one account, and we may merge or close duplicates after writing to you.
3. What you may and may not do
- Use the site lawfully, and only to offer or seek work and services you may lawfully trade where the work is done.
- Post accurate adverts: the role, the employer, the pay and the working conditions must match what is actually on offer.
- Do not post invented vacancies, vacancy-fishing or data-harvesting disguised as recruitment, undeclared cash-in-hand work, pyramid or MLM schemes dressed up as a job, or any offer that is illegal where the work would be.
- Do not scrape, resell, systematically extract or mirror listings, CVs or member data.
- Do not interfere with the service, probe it for weaknesses without our written permission, or reverse-engineer the software beyond what applicable law allows.
- Do not use a member's contact details to approach them for anything other than the enquiry they replied to.
4. Adverts and moderation
You keep ownership of what you post and you grant us a non-exclusive licence to display, store, reproduce and adapt it for operating and promoting the service while the advert is live. We moderate the board and may refuse, move, hide or remove any advert without notice where it breaches these Terms, misleads, breaks the law, or is reported by members. Removing an advert creates no liability towards you.
5. The hire is between you and the other member
AgEmployment introduces employers and candidates. It does not employ anyone shown on the board, does not act as a recruitment agency, does not handle pay and does not guarantee that any party will perform. The employment contract is made directly between employer and employee, and each answers to the other for pay, working hours, right-to-work checks, tax, warranty and any statutory remedy. See our Disclaimer.
6. Fees
The core service is free. Optional paid features are priced on screen before you confirm them and billed only after you start them. Unless an offer says otherwise, a fee is non-refundable once the feature has been delivered, and we may change prices with reasonable notice on the site.
7. Intellectual property
The site itself — its design, code, logos, category structure and original editorial text — belongs to us or to our licensors. Member material belongs to the member who posted it. You may print or share a single listing in order to apply for or to fill that role; anything else needs our written consent. Details are in the Copyright Notice.
8. Availability
We work to keep the site available around the clock and we plan for maintenance, but we do not promise uninterrupted access. The service may be paused for updates, infrastructure work or events outside our control, and we announce planned downtime on the site where we reasonably can.
9. Suspending and closing an account
We may suspend or close an account that repeatedly breaches these Terms, is used in fraud, or whose owner cannot be reached at the address on file. You may close your own account at any time from your account page; the steps are set out in the Privacy Policy.
10. Liability
We are liable for our own negligence, for fraud and for fraudulent misrepresentation, and nothing here limits a liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Subject to that we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, for loss of profit, revenue or data, or for the acts and omissions of other members. Where we are liable for anything else, our total liability is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim and £100.
11. Adverts about people and posts
- An employer must advertise a real vacancy that exists at the time of posting, with the pay or pay range stated and the working hours described.
- Do not advertise a role to harvest salaries, to build a database of candidates, or to test a market you have no intention of hiring into.
- A CV may only describe the person who posted it, and references must be given with the referee's permission.
- Discrimination is unlawful. Do not phrase an advert, or refuse an applicant, on the basis of a protected characteristic, and do not advertise as genuine a requirement that is not one.
- The employment contract is between employer and employee. AgEmployment is not the employer, not an employment agency and not a party to any offer, interview or dismissal.
12. Complaints
Tell us what went wrong through the contact page and quote the email address on your account. We acknowledge a complaint within two working days and answer it in substance within fourteen. If we cannot settle it, you may refer the matter to the consumer authority of your country; residents of the European Union may also use the Online Dispute Resolution platform.
13. Changes to these Terms and governing law
We may update these Terms as the service changes; the date at the top of this page is the date of the last change, and for material changes we notify members by email before the new terms apply. These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, whose courts hear any dispute, save that the mandatory consumer protections of your own country of residence still apply to you.
